We approach product development differently, allowing us to create products that did not, and could not, be designed previously. Instead of sequentially developing formulation and packaging, we design for a complete product all at once: formulation, packaging, and EveryDrop™ technology. We offer private label complete products with low minimum order quantities, but we’ll also work with you to create your own product from scratch.

And smaller packaging means more product can fit into each shipment, resulting in lower transport cost and fuel emissions.

Premium packaging used to mean excess material and complex closures. The EveryDrop™ platform enables design of ownable product stories without resorting to excess packaging material. Not only that, but using recycle-ready materials means the empty packages are easily returned into the supply chain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose an EveryDrop™ engineered package over another package format?

If you are reading this FAQ, then odds are you’ve experienced frustrations with existing packaging formats for one reason or another. Jars aren’t hygienic. Pumps are wasteful. Airless systems are complex and expensive. EveryDrop™ products are simple and premium at the same time. Coupling effortless, complete evacuation with new user experiences and benefits has been shown through consumer research to drive product sales and profitability.

How does EveryDrop™ technology work?

We design and develop safe, slippery coatings for each product category. These wet coatings prevent adhesion of product to the package wall, allowing easy and complete evacuation. The coating has no impact on product formula properties or quality.

How do EveryDrop™ products get made? Does the technology require special equipment?

During manufacturing, EveryDrop™ coatings are sprayed inside the package before continuing to the filling station. We have experience installing spray capability both for internal dedicated manufacturing as well as flexible filling lines at contract manufacturing partners and brand facilities. The spray step happens quickly and does not slow down the line speed at all as there is no cure time.

Can packages be sprayed with EveryDrop™ technology in one location and then shipped somewhere else?

Unfortunately not yet. The technology must be sprayed at the filling location. We design the technology so that there is at least half an hour process window between spraying and filling to account for any unexpected downtime, but for best results, the filling should occur directly after spraying the package.

Is the technology universal? Are there ingredient incompatibilities?

Coatings are formulated specific to the product category. As of today, EveryDrop™ technology is compatible with thick water-based products, such as lotions, creams, moisturizers, toothpaste, and certain food products. It is not applicable for certain types of formulations, especially those that contain solvents, high pigment or surfactant loading. We are always willing to perform a complimentary evaluation on a particular formulation, provided it fits within our target product categories. We are always working to expand our capabilities through ongoing R&D.

How do I test compatibility of my product formula with EveryDrop™ technology?

Please reach out to us through our Contact form. We assess compatibility with 6-8 oz of product formula. This first step allows us to be more efficient in working together and designing an EveryDrop™ product for your brand. We are focused on water-based skincare (rich creams, gels, lotions, gel-creams), toothpaste, and food products (cream cheese, Greek yogurt, mayonnaise) currently.

How do I evaluate my package design for EveryDrop™ compatibility?

There are a few general guidelines to keep in mind, but please reach out to us through our Contact form for additional information. We’ve found if product can slide around, it’s best to let gravity do the work. For that reason, rigid tottles are the best format to showcase an EveryDrop™ product story. Additionally, you want to make sure the bottle is appropriately squeezable and has tapered walls near the nozzle to guide product to the dispensing nozzle.

What are the compatible packaging and formulas?

Packaging – We have engineered the EveryDrop™ platform to be compatible with resin-based systems like PET, HDPE, and PP and is best showcased in a rigid, squeezable top-down bottle (tottle). The EveryDrop™ platform is fully compatible with PCR resins. Other substrates, like glass, are still in development.

Formulas – When working together on a project, we provide quantitative specifications on formula textures that are suitable for an EveryDrop™ package format. See also: “Is the technology universal?”

Can I apply the technology to an already commercialized product?

We generally find the most efficient way to work is to either design a new product on the EveryDrop™ platform or redesign an existing formula/package to provide the ultimate user experience. Often, an already commercialized formula/package wasn’t designed on the EveryDrop™ platform so it might need some minor tweaking.

How do I get a sample?

It all starts with filling out our Contact form. Once we understand more about your project, we can assess formula compatibility with 6-8 oz sample and identify the best workflow. Then, we can send relevant stock demo samples in EveryDrop™ packaging. Reach out today to schedule your evaluation.

What does it cost?

Upfront we charge a project fee depending on the scope of the work. When manufacturing and delivering a product, primary packaging and formula costs are unchanged. There is a small surcharge for EveryDrop™ capability which is more than covered by the increased market share and premiumization available for EveryDrop™ products.

Is the technology safe? What are the coatings made of?

The technology is designed to meet whatever safety and regulatory is appropriate for a product category. Coatings are comprised of ingredients that are already approved for use in food-safe and skincare products. In fact, we strive to use ingredients that are already a part of common products within a category. For example, the coating for toothpaste we designed and ultimately launched with Colgate’s Elixir toothpaste is made from a natural, plant-based liquid and common toothpaste ingredients. For skincare products like lotions and creams, we make coatings from common, dermatologically safe, skincare product ingredients. For food, we make coatings from FDA-approved food ingredients.

How does EveryDrop™ relate to sustainability? Is there an impact on recyclability?

It’s going to take many packaging solutions working together to address sustainability in consumer products. For our part of the puzzle, we design products to limit wasted formula and packaging material. Plus, our packages are completely recyclable with no need to rinse them when empty and no contamination to the recycle stream.
