R&D and Manufacturing Technician

Position Summary

Do you have a passion for developing and commercializing revolutionary technology, either in a start-up or as part of a new product group? Do you have a strong background in manufacturing in a controlled environment, as well as sample analysis in a laboratory environment? Do you enjoy working on a variety of technical tasks, including lab-scale and pilot-scale product manufacturing, equipment operation and maintenance, and data generation.

LiquiGlide has raised $40 million in funding and is expanding its team to commercialize its slippery coating technology.  Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, the technical operations technician will work with the manufacturing team of the consumer packaging group to execute manufacturing protocols for both lab-scale and pilot-scale products, as well as generate and record data for physical characterization of final filled products. We are looking for someone with a strong technical background with great attention to detail who enjoys working with their hands on breakthrough technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturing SOPs & protocols for producing lab-scale and pilot-scale batches of LiquiGlide’s propriety coating technologies.
  • Setup and operate production equipment including mixing tanks, homogenizers, spraying machines, fillers, and more.
  • Assist the Senior Process Engineer in developing and executing pilot-scale manufacturing processes.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
  • Inspect and test finished products for quality, functionality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Demonstrate an excellent technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Detailed Documentation of process methods and results.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Must be open to learning new work skills, processes, and procedures that may be different from previous work experiences.
  • Measure and record data associated with product release testing. .
  • Order raw materials and manage chemical inventory for lab-scale and pilot-scale batches.
  • Maintain a clean an organized lab for production runs.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience and proven ability to execute processing SOPs.
  • Excellent team-work and communication skills.
  • Experience working with GMP production and adhering to established GMP SOPs.
  • Proven ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Organized and detail oriented.


  • Bachelors or Associates degree in a technical field preferred.
