LiquiGlide has raised $40 million in funding and is expanding its team to commercialize its slippery coating technology. The Senior Coatings Engineer will lead and work with teams to develop liquid-impregnated surface (LIS) coatings for applications in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, packaging, or medical devices.
Duties & Responsibilities
Quickly master LIS science through independent study, tutorials and training sessions.
Study and experiment independently to gain LIS expertise that will enable you to grow in critical R&D and project management functions as the company scales.
Develop test methods and best practices to accelerate coating development.
Lead large, client-funded coating development projects, managing clients as well as internal project teams, and consultants.
Develop and maintain project plans and road maps and act as key point of contact for clients and internal management.
Skills & Experience
5 -15 years product development and commercialization experience, including managing projects, teams, and customer relationships.
Strong hands-on experience and proven ability to design effective experiments.
Proven ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ambitious and comfortable with ambiguity.
Masters or PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Physical Chemistry preferred.
